And while money is certainly important to a career, it isn’t the deciding factor in what makes someone happy in their job.  It’s more about the people they work with, and how much responsibility they have to make decisions, and so on.

I Want You To Be Happy Day

It’s a day to think of other people’s happiness.  A chance to step outside ourselves and wish for the happiness of others.

 

More and more research says we’re often happy when we’re around other happy people.  So, increase your happiness power by wishing happiness to others.

We’ve all had times where it seems nothing goes right.  And sometimes those “losing streaks” may go for a few days, a few weeks or even a few months.  Usually, though, things turn around and we’re able to move on.

Can you imagine having a 26-year losing streak?

Can you imagine how it must feel to finally break a losing streak that stretches more than a quarter of a century?

That’s how the players and fans at Caltech are feeling today.  The Caltech Beavers snapped a 310-game conference losing streak as they beat Occidental 46-45 yesterday.

Division III Caltech celebrates its victory

No matter how bad things are there’s always hope.

One of the things I try to do here at Your Happiness Power is highlight other sites devoted to happiness.

Today, I want to point you to the Secret Society of Happy People.  According to its website, the Society’s mission is, “To help people recognize more happiness and encourage them to talk about it.”

The Society was founded in 1998, by Pamela Gail Johnson “to provide a missing voice for those who experience happiness and want to express it without other people raining on their parade.”  She is also the author of Don’t Even Think of Raining on My Parade: Adventures of the Secret Society of Happy People.

If you want to connect with other happy people, the Secret Society of Happy People might be a good place to visit.
