Is Happiness Genetic?

By Tim McLaughlin

Here’s an article saying a ‘Happiness’ gene helps you look on the bright side.

I don’t believe that happiness is something that’s purely genetic.  While there may be a genetic component to having a positive outlook, I don’t think that it’s the only component to happiness.

I think everyone has the ability to be happy in life regardless of their genetics.  Don’t assume that you can’t be happy because you don’t have a so-called “happiness gene.”

I write every day on this site about ways to increase your happiness power.  I firmly believe that if you follow these suggestions you’ll find yourself feeling happier more often.

To your happiness!
