Happy Memories
First, for the record, let me say that I’m not a Yankees fan. That may upset you, but I can easily explain it: I’m a Red Sox fan. I believe that, by definition, being a Red Sox fan precludes you from being a Yankees fan (and vice versa).
That being said, I am a baseball fan. Do you know how I can tell when it’s almost Spring? No, it’s not when I see the first robin. It’s not when the trees start to bud. It’s not even when I see those first flowers in bloom.
No, I can tell it’s nearly Spring, when I read that pitchers and catchers have shown up at Spring Training Camp!
To me, going to a baseball game is one of those things that always creates happy memories. The sights, the sounds, the smells, all contribute to forming those happy memories.
I’m not the only one who has wonderful memories about baseball. Take a look at this article — I’ll forgive the writer for being a Yankees fan.
What are some of the things that bring you happy memories?
By the way, February 14, 2009 is the first day that pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training for this season. Okay, maybe February 14 isn’t officially Spring, but it’ll feel like it to me.
To your happiness!
